Avengers watching priority list:
1) The first and arguably most publicised way of watching films is via the cinema. This is important to the film company because this their most reliable source of income. Back in the 1940's, families would regularly go to the cinema as part of everyday life and importance. It is more popular than it is today as it is seen as a treat rather than a regularity. The film company will mainly promote their film via its cinema release rather than other promotion.
2) The second most significant way of marketing films is by releasing them onto a blu-ray disc. This helps distribution companies because blu rays are slightly more expensive than your standard dvd disc. Blu rays are now incorporated into new games consoles as it gives people a sense of multi use purpose and a better excuse of buying a new games console.
3) Downloading films online is becoming increasingly popular by the day. Netflix is the leading company within online film streaming. Most deals cost around £5.99 a month which gives you unlimited access to download films to your TV, games consoles and other various devices. These give audience the option to watch films wherever.
4) Sky TV is the most popular TV distribution company within this country. The majority of the packages offer people the chance to pay an extra fee to watch films just after their cinema release which gives people an extra priority to see films because sky are so popular. However they do have a very high subscription cost as the film company and sky both need to make a profit, hens the majority of these packages cost between £30 - £40.
5) Recording Tv is incredibly popular with Sky TV and Virgin media being two of the key services that this country uses. This gives the viewer the availability to watch all their favourite shows and films whenever they like. However, they are broadcasted either when a sequel is out in the cinemas, or when there is a particular festive season i.e. christmas.
6) Mobile phones use apps like Sky and Netflix to let you download films on to your mobile devices to give you the option to watch films on the go and on long journeys. People that use Netflix often use these services as they don't find the time to watch these at home. Netflix did this as they have made a lot of profit this way.
7) DVD's are becoming an old fashioned format of owning and watching films. These tend to be cheaper than Blu Ray's as the quality is not as good. However, in 5 years time DVD's will be less existent and probably will not be as mass produced and will become increasingly lower down the exhibition hierarchy.
8) Illegal downloads give the company no many and only give people pride in seeing a film before its disc release. It is also breaking many laws and is not commonly used.
